Mommy & Me

Ages 2 to 3                            

Share those special smiles and hugs in a class designed especially for the parent and toddler!

​ This class is based on dance fundamentals, incorporating gross motor skills, rhythm exercises, songs and FUN.

Classes are 30 minutes long and require caretaker participation. ​

Students (and their caregivers) should wear stretchy clothes that allow them to move comfortably and sock feet.

Pre-Ballet 

Ages 3 to 5      

What better way to begin dance than with a special program that combines classical training with creative movement, story telling and LOTS of magic and make believe! Students will learn the 7 movements of dance and the 5 positions of ballet with an emphasis on ballet vocabulary!

Classes are 45 mins long.

Students should wear a pink or lavender leotard & ballet skirt and pink tights with pink leather ballet shoes. Hair should be off their faces.



Combo Dance Class

Ages 5 to 7

Ballet and Tap/Jazz Combination Classes

A great way to get a taste of Ballet and Tap or Ballet and Jazz training in one class!

Classes are one hour long and consist of 30 mins of ballet training weekly and 30 mins of tap or jazz training.

Female dancers should wear a black leotard, black ballet skirt and pink tights with pink leather ballet shoes. Dancer in the tap combo class will need black patent leather student tie taps. Jazz shoes are not needed.

Male dancers should wear black athletic shorts or pants, a solid colored tank top or fitted t-shirt, and black canvas or leather ballet shoes. Black oxford tap shoes will be needed for dancers in the tap combo class. Jazz shoes are not needed.

Hair should be secured away from the face.

 

Level 1 and Level 2 Combination Classes

Ages 8 to 10 (Level 1) / Ages 9 to 11 (Level 2)

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combination Classes

Perfect for the older beginning/intermediate level dancer, these combination classes offer ballet/tap and jazz training all in one class!

Classes are 90 mins long and consist of one hour of ballet training weekly combined with 30 minutes of tap and jazz training on alternate weeks.

Female dancers should wear a black leotard, black ballet skirt and pink tights with pink leather ballet shoes. Dancers will need black student tie tap shoes and caramel colored jazz shoes.

Male dancers should wear black athletic shorts or pants, a solid colored tank top or fitted t-shirt, and black canvas or leather ballet shoes. Dancers will need black oxford tap shoes and black jazz shoes.

Hair should be secured away from the face.



Ballet 

Ages 9 and up

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms.

Each level will focus on proper body alignment, terminology and correct execution of steps, as well as strength and flexibility training, through barre’, center floor and across the floor adagio and allegro combinations. Students will prepare for end of the year ballet exams.

​Classes are one hour long.

Female dancers should wear a black leotard, black ballet skirt and pink tights with pink leather or canvas ballet shoes.

Male dancers should wear black athletic shorts or pants, a solid colored tank top or fitted t-shirt, and black canvas or leather ballet shoes.

Hair should be secured away from the face in a ballet bun or similar twist.

 

Jazz 

Ages 9 and up

 Students will learn musicality and technique, focusing on balance, flexibility and strength, through different genres of music including broadway, latin and current hits. Classes are one hour long.

Female dancers should wear a solid colored leotard and ankle or capri length leggings. Tights must be worn if wearing dance shorts. Caramel colored jazz shoes are needed.

Male dancers should wear black athletic pants, a solid colored tank top or fitted t-shirt and black jazz shoes.

Hair should be secured away from the face.

Tap

Ages 9 and up

Students will develop rhythm, style and sound quality in this class that blends both traditional broadway style tap and current rhythm style tap together. Emphasis on ankle and foot mobility and flexibilty, speed and accuracy.

Classes are 45 minutes long.

Female dancers should wear a solid colored leotard and ankle or capri length leggings. Tights must be worn if wearing dance shorts. Male dancers should wear black athletic pants, a solid colored tank top or fitted t-shirt.

All tap dancers need black oxford style tap shoes (tie-up oxfords and no split soled tap shoes)

Hair should be secured away from the face.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Ages 9 and up

Lyrical class is designed for intermediate to advanced students with previous training in ballet. Students will explore  basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. It emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract. Students enrolled in Lyrical and Contemporary  classes are required to take a ballet class concurrently. Classes are one hour long.

Female dancers should wear a solid colored leotard and ankle or capri length leggings. Tights must be worn if wearing dance shorts.

Male dancers should wear black athletic pants and a solid colored tank top or fitted t-shirt.

Shoes are TBD by the instructor

Hair should be secured away from the face.

​Hip Hop

Ages 9 and up

These fun, upbeat classes teach hip hop technique and choreography without the  worry of suggestive moves or inappropriate music! Dancers develop rhythm, coordination, and self-expression. Students will wear comfortable gym type clothing and DEDICATED black, "Converse" style low top  sneakers.
